I always assumed that the 'hug the wall to see the DARPA chief/Octacon' was just something you're supposed to find as part the main path of the game. At this point you've been taught to hug walls like crazy. I found this the very first time I entered the room. Feels odd that it's supposed to be an Easter egg.

The only reason the scrapped Farfetch’d evolution got that palette is because it was replaced by wooper you can see this in the spaceworld 1999 demo where wooper still uses the back sprite for Farfetch’d’s evolution

I can appreciate Kojima’s enthusiasm for trying to be creative, but most of his ideas are terrible. The zombie game, the forever death, moving fast and gps game to name a few. Zombie game would be an EA or Ubisoft wet dream for monetization. Forever death would only be commercially successful if it were handled like Day Z where you just start over. Going fast would be a safety liability for everyone. GPS worked for games like Pokémon but not the type of world and gameplay he was talking about.

BDSP should have went the ORAS route in terms of design (which ILCA wanted to do, judging by their concept art) and HGSS in terms of attention to detail and care. It’s a shame that GF and Nintendo limited ILCA the way they did.
